Diversified Tool & Die was founded in 1972 by Ernst and Rosa Wilms. Mr. Wilms immigrated to the United States in 1952 from Stuttgart Germany after serving his toolmaking apprenticeship at Robert Bosch GmbH.
Our original facility was located in Santa Ana, California. In 1982 after expanding 3 times into surrounding space, we built our own custom 12,500 sq. ft. facility in the city of Oceanside (San Diego County).
In 1995 we expanded once again into our current 33,000 sq. ft. location in Vista, California. The building was custom designed and built with all our processes in mind. Our tooling and EDM areas have separate foundations to reduce vibration transfer from the stamping department. Our Stamping department has an overhead crane to facilitate material handling and all presses are placed for efficient use.
